Growth Funding
Truvalu.enterprises invests from € 250,000 to € 500,000 in capital per company for an equity stake of up to 49%. Opportunities for co-investment is also available where we partner with other international investors to bring in fund in order to increase our ticket size.
Co-enterprenurship
Truvalu.enterprises participates as co-entrepreneur in promising, inclusive agri-businesses to accelerate them to scalable businesses, and on average, significantly increase their value by providing growth capital, business development support, access to technology and networks and if applicable, new and international markets.
Business Development Support
The customized business development support is different from what many others do - directed at both the company's primary activities, such as the operational process, marketing and sales, and logistics, as well as the secondary activities, such as the financial administration, corporate governance, and legal support. These services are provided by both our internal teams and through external consultants.
Access to Market
Truvalu.enterprises and its partners actively support companies in promoting their products and services in local and export markets by connecting them to their local and international networks of clients, business partners (distributors, retail companies), and export partners. Truvalu.trade is the trade support wing of Truvalu which started in collaboration with WAAR - a retail chain shop committed to promoting entrepreneurs from emerging markets and offering sustainable and fair trade products to European consumers. Truvalu.trade, with direct access to 2000+ wholesale customers and 24 shops, actively supports SMEs in promoting their products and services in export markets and by connecting them to their large networks of buyers.

Online Incubation Program
We have completed a 4-month-long business incubation program in December 2020. 7 high-growth businesses from diverse sectors (i.e. healthcare, agri-tech, waste management, edu-tech, and sustainable home decor) were mentored on the following topics:
Investment Readiness Services
We have provided the following Investment Readiness services:
- Developing a pitch deck for investors: Multiple investee companies were provided with a customized pitch deck.
- Investment Memorandum/Financing Proposal for Fundraising: Investment Memorandum created for deals worth over EUR 1.2 million. Truvalu Bangladesh worked with companies from Indonesia, Kenya, Ghana, Nicaragua, Senegal, and Costa Rica among others.
- Financial model development: Truvalu created financial modeling services to 25 companies from a range of different industries in Bangladesh and Nepal. These models were fully linked 3 statement models with associated ratio analysis to analyze the business

Financial Advisory (Financial Management training, accountancy and
regulatory guidance)
Financial Management consisted of a needs assessment of each business followed by a review of the existing system and training for the employees to use the new financial system. Truvalu Bangladesh has provided this service to all its investee companies, apart from providing this training as a consultancy service in 2 major projects.
Financial modelling training was provided to multiple entities in different countries such as Jordan, Palestine etc. This training was customized to the needs of the participants, with an initial questionnaire to establish baseline financial literacy and gradual development. The support has ranged from developing basic cost structures to training participants to develop 3 statement models and use it regularly for their businesses.
Accountancy and regulatory guidance were provided by in-house experts for assistance with Income Tax, VAT and Other Regulatory Compliance, Proper Accounting System (Templates and Accounting Software e.g. Tally or Quickbooks). This has also been provided to a range of companies in Bangladesh.

Financial instruments and valuation advisory
All investee companies including companies who are a part of Truvalu’s incubation programs were provided with training on how financial instruments would affect their business and what the best method of financing for their respective businesses is.
Truvalu Bangladesh also supports its investee companies in negotiations with further investors, helping them get the best financial opportunities for their business.
- Investor Hit List and Introductions 12 companies have, so far, been provided with introductions to a range of national and international investors who they have pitched their respective businesses to.
- Legal and other due diligence Support Using legal experts whom we engage to assist the SMEs with acquiring licenses and registration, Company Formation, Negotiation, Deal Structuring, Share Issuance, FDI Process including Repatriation etc., Truvalu Bangladesh has provided support to a range of companies in Nepal, Bangladesh and Indonesia. As an external consultant for a crowdfunding platform in the Netherlands, we have successfully provided due diligence services to companies all over the world.
Impact Management Services
- Theory of change design: Truvalu Bangladesh has created the theory of change for 2 businesses which included a total review of their businesses followed by an evaluation of the impact that is created by the individual business.
- SMART indicators were developed and tailored for each of the two businesses
- Data collection plans were created and the data was analyzed for decision-making and insights into how well the 2 businesses were performing according to the metrics developed above.
- Impact report creation: Impact analysis has been carried out for a range of companies in different sectors with a focus on the impact created at different levels of the businesses with a range of stakeholders across the value chain.

- Capacity Building: SMEs (especially women-led SMEs) were identified and given training to improve their entrepreneurial abilities
